Limestone College to relocate satellite location to Greenville

Gaffney-based Limestone College plans to expand its offering in Greenville by relocating one of its existing satellite classroom spaces from Greer to a site at the intersection of Pleasantburg Drive and Interstate 385.

The 4,337-square-foot space will cater to the college’s extended-campus program, which includes about 2,500 students enrolled in the online and evening classes, according to Limestone College Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Mark Reger.

“We’ve been looking to move for a long time, and this is the right time,” said Reger, who said Limestone plans to accommodate 50 to 60 students at the Greenville space by the time it opens in October. “Greenville is a growing area, and we thought in order to really be serviceable to students in Greenville and Spartanburg, the Greenville site is probably going to be optimum because we have a much larger facility to be able to serve students.”

Limestone plans to renovate the space, which will house three large classrooms, several small classrooms, a computer lab and offices. Reger said the site will have two staff and one half-time faculty member at the Greenville location….
